A bit about Skippin Trax and Me..

I put this section up because I want to let everyone know what I intend to do with Skippin Trax and the type of music that will be put out on my label. Firstly I wanna start by saying that I've always been heavily influenced by the Scottish 'Bouncy' Techno / Hardcore scene, with the likes of Ultimate Buzz, Bassy 'G', Scott Brown, Neurotek etc. - that unmistakable bouncy feel gets me rockin' everytime !!!

That is the 'sort' of style I'm looking for with Skippin Trax. I basically just want to make everything bouncy with a happy feel about it. I quite like the odd piano here and there and the stringy pads but I'm not a great lover of cheesy 'loads of pianos over more pianos' there's a lot more to hardcore than pianos. I remember reading Dream mag. ages ago and an interview with the man himself Paul (BRISKY) saying "Hardcore is just that, it should be played hard and fast" and to be honest I couldn't agree with the man more !! I want to hear more people making faster hardcore, as people seem to think that to get hardcore recognition it needs to be toned down a little, I've got one word to say to that: "Bollocks" Hardcore is hardcore, fast, lively, up-tempo underground music, let the likes of Judge Jules handle the slow shit, and hardcore producers / DJs handle the fast bouncing 175 bpm+ material that got a lot of us into hardcore in the first place.

So this was basically an overview of what's to come with Skippin Trax. With SKIPPIN 03 just released and 04 & 05 ready for pressing soon, you should have some idea of where my musical preferences are. So guaranteed If you purchase any material by me on whatever label, it will be 1. Fast, 2. Bouncy and 3. As happy as I can make it !! Keep those 'mince pies' peeled for new releases coming your way soon !!!!

If there are any other budding producers out there who think they have a good hardcore tune that's sat somewhere gathering fluff & dust, send it down to me cos I love to listen to what other people are producing. Call me on 07887 915438 (not in the middle of the F**king night, I won't mention any names).

I know it's not the most established label in the world or indeed the most professional but I'm gonna keep working, and plugging away until the scene is back where we want it,

Peace, Love, Unity & Respect to you ravers out there

Cheers SKIPPY.
