Drugs Information

For obvious reasons neither the Bristol Ravers Directory or its editor wish to be seen to condone drugs use, however we are realistic enough to understand that drugs are sometimes used at raves so the purpose of this section is give you information about what you're using, how to use it safely and how to avoid getting into trouble with them. The "Just say no" campaign was clearly utter crap, we say "Just be careful, find out as much as you can about it before-hand and if in doubt, don't do it".

The following pages will give you plenty of good information about so-called "recreational" drug use but please don't think we're encouraging you to try them, all drugs (tea, coffee, alcohol, tobacco and asprin included) carry risks, we ask that you do some research, weigh up those risks and take good care of yourself, don't just chuck it down your neck because your mates do.

The drugs section from the uk.music.rave FAQ This is an good, general introduction to ecstasy which gives you the basic information you need to minimise the risks when using it.
Nicholas Saunders' "E is for Ecstasy" web site The best, most accurate and well researched set of pages about ecstasy, Nick Saunders has written several excellent books on the subject, is involved in research and is generally considered something of an expert on the subject. Spend some time at this site, it's worth it.
The Urban75 Drug Archive An excellent collection of information about "recreational" drugs which covers the whole spectrum. Well worth a visit.
The "Water and E" card" Basic, obvious stuff perhaps but still worth reading and it contains an anonymous phone line which you can call if you're worried about your drugs use and want to talk to someone.
