Castro's is one of the newer generation of clubs in Bristol, it's tucked away
at the Evening Post Building end of Old Market with its entrance down an alley
not far from the roundabout; but for all that, it's fairly easily found.
It consists of three main areas, the primary dancefloor is on your left as you
arrive, it takes about 100-150 people so it's cosy and intimate but that's ideal
for the sort of event that you'll find there. Upstairs there's a cafe-type
chillout area, while downstairs is a snooker room and a converted bowling
alley which is now the second dancefloor (yup, long and thin just as you'd
imagine, but it works!). There's another room upstairs which may get pressed
into service as the club expands.
Music policy is generally various shades of house, with local DJs and guests
in the main room and, when 'Keeping it dirty' are running it, a 'bedroom DJ'
session downstairs where you can see the up and coming local talent and even
book a slot for yourself.

Fridays and Saturdays are gradually finding their identity, but Thursday has
already got a a regular night called 'Humid', with a pre-club warm-up down the
road at The Mason's Arms internet pub called 'Fresh'.
