Tucked away in the back streets at the bottom of Park Street (opposite the Queen's Shilling but hard to spot on a dark night), the Mandrake is a small but popular club which hosts all sorts of one-off and weekly nights.

Without intending any disrespect to the place, it's usually seen as one of the early steps on the ladder for new promoters, many of the names in Bristol started there and you can be sure that events there will be cheap but enthusiastically run.
