Decidedly not a 'rave' club, Evolution is Bristol's newest nightspot (opened in early December 1998) and worth knowing about so here's a bit about the place.

There are two rooms, which they use to put on different, but matching, types of music, I gather that the capacity is in the order of 1,000 people, they're open 5 nights a week from 9:30pm to 2am and the nights and music policy are as follows:

• Tuesdays:- "Made For Students" - Room 1: 'GnD' - Room 2: 'Universal'

• Wednesdays:- "23" - Club 1: Commercial chart hits & Party, Club 2: 'Choose Life' (80's classics & a splash of the 70's)

• Thursdays:- "The Event" - Club 1: Party, chart, commercial - Club 2: Dance anthems

• Fridays:- "Epic!" - Club 1: Massive commercial, dance, chart - Club 2: Huge soul, R&B

• Saturdays:- "Reach The Outer Limits" - Club 1: chart hits, anthems - Club 2: Dance classics
