Making its debut in February 1994, 'Bristol Exposure' has been putting on
amazing (but infrequent) Hardcore and Old Skool Rave Anthem nights at the New
Trinity, U.W.E. and other venues in the South West region. There are few
events like this in the Bristol / S.W. area so they've been very welcome and
very popular.
Bristol Exposure consists of John Nation and DJ Bunjy who is resident DJ at all their various events,
Bunjy also runs four record labels producing cutting edge music, which
reflects the diversity of the music showcased at their events.
John also sells tickets for parties and events, promotes these events via
flyering and runs coaches from Bristol to distant events throughout the UK,
which he's been doing since 1990. He is also involved in organising and
running both the hardcore and jungle tents at Universe - Tribal Gathering, a link
forged in 1995 and set to continue at this year's event, as well as writing
for Knowledge magazine
and many other projects within the rave party circuit.
Recent 'Exposures have included the excellent 5th Birthday party at Trinity, several hardcore nights at The Fruit Club in Swindon, the Drum &
Bass rooms at all the Dreamscape events at the Bath & West Showground and
their nights at the Escape Club, Swansea, a
bi-monthly D&B residency at The Complex Club in London, several visits hosting
the D&B room at 'Slinky' (The Opera House) in Bournemouth, not forgetting the
'Ocean' tent at Big Love '96 and
the D&B arena at Devotion on NYE
96/97. There are lots more events in the pipeline for '99 (details
available here as they are finalised), which should see 1999 as one of our
busiest years yet!
Bristol Exposure nights are usually a mix of happy hardcore, techno and jungle
(in town), although speciality Old Skool Rave nights are often put on too.
Outside of Bristol the music depends on the venue and favoured music
preference of the club/promoter, Bristol Exposure's greatest asset is their
flexibility and musical open-mindedness. The partys always feature top DJs and
MCs, superb varied decoration and lighting production and an excellent vibe -
they are guaranteed to please.
